And if you do'nt know what you're looking for, right-click on the content in
the player playlist, select Error Details, then click Web Help, and that
should tell you what you're looking for - and offer to help you look for it.

Any particular reason you're recommending pirated software?

Seems like massive overkill.

This very particular version of K-Lite probably won't do anything bad.
Older versions definitely did bad things - I think it was fixed in late
December.

Perhaps you need to switch to de-caff?

My motto, kill 'em all, let God sort it out. Go outside and smell
the flowers once a week. Tell your keeper that you will not play
with fireworks or join another cult.

So you tell us above about dire things now something different. You
might want to speak to your theripist about that kink in your cable.

*shrug* I think the multimedia experience has generally been ceded to some
pretty bad/horrible experiences, and that's pretty sad to me. I have the
hope that there's a better way and better practices.

K-Lite is currently helping cause most of the top crashes in most multimedia
components in SP1. Microsoft can fix Microsoft code, but working around
people damaging their system through installing random badware turns out to
be a much more challenging task.

You and I both don't like it when applications crash. I don't know how we
can return to multimedia sanity, but I don't feel like it's a bad thing to
want to get there.

The question about K-Lite is an honest one: what specific experience are you
trying to provide that couldn't be provided by a normal vendor?

Cheers,

Define normal vendor in this age of the internet and a gazillion
sites to wade through. At any rate, I saved my search and here is
where I went to find the answer.

If you do not like it, fine, do not use it, but as I said, worked
great, brought all my videos to life and did not cause Vista to go
into a coma.

By the way, how does one pirate freeware?!
