Playing Age of Empires II the Conquerors on the zone

I upgraded to windows XP home edition that has the service pack 2 with it. I
have done a complete rebuild from scratch so all the drivers and programs are
the latest. I can play the game with me against the computer but when i try
to play on the msn gaming zone i get this error where it says windows
encountered a problem with age of empires and had to shut it down and I have
the choice to send a report to microsoft or not to send and when i click one
it shuts the game down. It sometimes happens right after they launch a game
and we are in the game lobby while the host is setting up the game and
sometimes it happens during the game but it always happens and I really don't
know what to do. Can anybody help?

There's a specific newsgroup you can use for MSN Gaming Zone.

The Zone newsgroups are listed in the left side of this "Community
Newsgroups" windows under " PC Games" > "Game Zone"
