I have a webpage where I have inserted a wmf. It plays in
the browser while on the IIS server but from outside LAN
it will not play. It seems to be a sharing issue but I
have the files in folder that is setup for a sharing for
the web. What are the steps for sharing media file for a
FrontPage site?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

dan

The only thing you need to do is to place the file inside the FrontPage web.
It will then be available for listening as a link, or using an embedded
player in the web page.

Hope this helps,

Please be more specific. What method are you using to
place the file inside the FP web? I attempted to import
the file but with no success. I copied and pasted the file
but it is still not viewable from an external website.

What is the size of this file, if it is over 1 MB, place it directly in your local web folder with
Windows Explorer, then in FP run Tools | Recalculate Hyperlinks. Now you may need be able to publish
the file to the live site, but try first, if not then you will need to mark the file not to be
publish and then use a FTP application to upload the file to the remote server and place in the same
folder structure as in your local copy of the web.
