Play track from CD during presentation

Hi! I need to play a track from a CD during a PP
presentation. The CD track will have to be played through
a separate PA system and a soundman will start the CD
while the presentation runs. How would this best be
accomplished to make sure slides coincide with the music?
Is it possible to set up the projector/laptop sound to
come through a PA system so that the presentation could be
done as a kiosk sort--that is to begin and end when the
track on the CD does? It's the PA system being at one end
of a large auditorium while the projector/laptop is on
stage at the other end of the auditorium that is my
concern. Thanks for any information. . .sorry if these
are dumb questions!

Just ask her/him to start the cd at a particular point....this keeps everything simple.
