Play Sounds through whole presentation

I'm using Power Point 2000 and have a quick question. I've added an MP3 file
to my first slide that starts playing when the presentation is loaded. How
can I setup the presentation so that the MP3 plays the whole time whiel the
slides progress automaticlly every X seconds?
