Play sound - triggered click

Place the sound icon away from the bottom left corner of the slide to avoid
interference with the pen/highlighter, previous button, next button etc.,
otherwise the trigger won't work.

I there a question in all of this? Or, are you stating something or replying
to another post?

The menu popup toolbar always appear "in front" so anything placed in that
area that needs a click will not work. You can of course disable the pop up
toolbar in tools > options > view

Hows the locked program working out?

John,

Thank you for your reply. I didn't know I could disable the pop-up toolbar.
About the locked program, I had been pulling my hair. Glad I have lots of
hair. I relayed the details of my "struggle" to T. Trish early yesterday.

Cheers,

Epinn

This is a comment post. Don't know why the icon for comment is not showing.

The little icons and other cuteness only appears when you view all of this via
the web interface. The rest of us can't see it.

Fortunately, I don't use the web interface to view this NG, so I do not see
any icons, only all the messages in chronological order by thread.

Echo showed me via the other thread how I could use google to display all my
posts in chrono order. Thanks, Echo. I didn't know that you guys couldn't
see the comment icon. Something is strange today. I didn't see the icon
even via web interface. Wonder who can ask for an improvement of the web
interface and actually see some results. <g>

I don't think general comments have an icon.

I'm happy to pass along your comments to the person who "owns" the web
interface right now, but I wouldn't hold my breath for changes. I know one
thing I've been trying to get fixed for months is the problem where we can't
reply to questions with blank message body, but it hasn't happened yet. Shows
how much influence I have! <G>

Oh, also, if you're using Outlook Express, hitting Ctrl+H might get you
close. You'd have to have set up the account in OE with the same email
address as you use on the web interface.

Epinn

Thanks Echo for telling me how to set up the account in OE. Don't
understand Ctrl+H though.

I know how to use OE to display threads now. For details, please refer to
the other thread "Only starting a new thread can get attention?" Thanks
everyone. If Steve had not told me about newsgroup reader .......

Oh, it's just a shortcut to View|Current View|Show Replies to My Messages.
You might want to try it the long way (by clicking those menu options)
sometime if you're looking for threads you've participated in.

It's amazing what you can learn in this group, isn't it?! :)

You might be interested to know that Windows Vista has a newsreader that
will allow you to use some of those features that you can access only on the
web interface right now. I haven't tried it, so I don't know the details,
but I believe you should see the question/suggestion/answered icons and mark
things as helpful/not helpful. I'll be interested in trying it once Vista is
released.

Down the slippery slope, eh ... ? ;-)

Echo,

The reason I didn't understand Ctrl+H was because I couldn't get it to work.
I probably need to buy a new keyboard.

Steve,

Do you have any idea similar to the one you had with the CD drive? Can I go
somewhere (control panel) and fix my keyboard? <g>

First, the CD drive, then the printer, now the keyboard......

Echo,

Yes, I learned a lot from this forum including Japanese from Steve!

Steve or Echo,

I don't know how to post. For example, Steve's post was the last one and
Echo's was the second last on this thread. I replied to Echo's post and
then realized that my reply was before Steve's post. It's kind of "hidden."
Would it be better if I always place my post as the last one on the thread
for it to get noticed? I don't know how most MVP's navigate? I wish OE
could alert me when one of my posts is answered. I think Google does that.

Steve or Echo,

I don't know how to post.

Don't worry about it too much. Just reply to any posts you need to reply to.
It all gets sorted out in the end.

Steve,

Do you have any idea similar to the one you had with the CD drive? Can I go
somewhere (control panel) and fix my keyboard? <g>

There's the old "Glare Method".

Quit Windows. Power down your PC. GLARE at it for five minutes.
Start it up again and see if the problem's gone away.

Make sure that you select Reply to Group, and not just Reply as that goes
back to the sender, which is usually a munged return address.
