crawl animation followed by a click

I have four piecs of a jigsaw puzle. I wish to animate each pieces by
triggering the following actions
1) very slow crawl from right
2) when th pece moves into position (i.e. touches the previous piece)
i wsh to have a click sound.

PS If i add the click sound effect it plays at the beginning when the
piece has just begun moving
PS If i trigger it to play after previous action of crawling entrance
it does not happen

The click sound is an extremely short time wav file (i have tied
other formats as well) and there is no codec problem whatsoever (all
other sounds and songs play within powerpoint)

I even searched and founs the clik.wav fil from offic sounds and
inserted the same to play after crawl but it dos not happen!

What is th solution and the possible cause of tis malfunction

I have a work around by doing the following. using audicityi have
created an audio file haing 5 blank seconds and then the click. that
is the total length of the audio file is 5.32 seconds (0.32 being the
click), this iadd to the trigger to play with the crawl. Since the
very slow crawl takes 5 secs th click is heard just after the animatin
as wanted.

Fine!! But why dos it not work my desired way??

Hi

Do you mean you have a trigger set so if you click the piece of the jigsaw
it moves? If so, set the sound file to trigger with the click of the same
piece (they should then both appear in the same trigger block in the
animation taskpane), then set it to after previous. You will need to add the
sound for each piece.

Or did you mean something else by 'trigger'? Sorry to be pedantic but
'trigger' has a particular meaning with animations in PowerPoint.

Easiest way is to have a small shape OFFSLIDE with an after previous appear
animation and the click sound effect,

That's exactly what i was trying to do (except that i trigger the
sequence)
But i still canno figure why i cannot insert a click.wav file to play
after the previous piece has moved into place as part of the animation
sequence (I mean without the necessity of having an off screen object
entering (albiet unseen).

Thanks Lucy
Yes the sound file (click.wav) is sequenced to play after the crawl of
a piece and exists in each trigger block - but they do not play.
(click.av can be found in the office folder. Try it my way!
