Play Back on DVD player

I have burned a few Windows Movie Makers onto CD's but am unable to play them
back on my televisions DVD player.

I have played them back using other software, but I feel the Movie Maker
format is better.

Any suggestions how to burn CD's that will play back on my DVD?

Thanks

Hello,

Movie Maker can not make any type of disk that will play on a domestic DVD
player...the disks it makes (HighMat Video) are playable on a computer
only. To make a disk for your domestic player....you need a suitable burner
(DVD for the higher/best quality) and an appropriate Authoring
package...like Nero 6 Reloaded With Nero you can import your work from
Movie Maker or create/capture the video using Nero itself...you then
continue with Nero making chapters and menus etc and finally burn the disk.

A 30 day trial version of Nero is available from www.nero.com

Do not be fooled by the claim that the most recent version of the Media
Center 2005 can burn DVD's....It most certainly cannot...all that happens
is a command called a ShellExecute or one of the similar commands is issued
and it access's the DVD authoring program that you purchased
separately...providing you bought the right one. This is a classic example
of desperately trying to play catch up...providing you are happy to cough
up the money if you did not buy the right authoring software in the first
place.
