Plaxo and Outlook. Brief poll...

Hello, I'm using Outlook2003w/BCM and wondered about Plaxo...

-1) YOUR EXPERIENCES?. What are your experiences in using Plaxo to keep
contacts up to date... good, bad, time consuming, easy, difficult, etc.

-2) SETUP AND STEPS? In *layman's* terms, what are the steps to use Plaxo,
such as a) signup, b) a lot of setup? c) click a few things, d) compose the
"Hello I'm updating my contacts" message, e) send it out, f) get email and
click something to update Outlook on PC? (I find that almost nothing is
this simple, but wanted to ask anyway).

Thanks for any insights.

I have been an enthusiastic user of Plaxo for over a year now. It
adderesses a real need, especially if you have changed jobs or a lot
of your work and professional colleagues have moved around (which mine
do.)

However ...... every time you get an "update" message from Plaxo, you
have to go through way too many clicks and window-closes, one per
update message. I also find the whole interface somewhat confused.
Like a pre-1.0 product.

I've even written to Rikk Carey, the Engineering VP at Plaxo, with
specific examples and suggestions for a more table- or
spreadsheet-like approach. No response, and no change to the product.
(In real life I know something about this issue.)

The Plaxo toolbar integrates nicely with Outlook.

Last time I looked, BCM wasn't supported, but that was several months
ago. I was very disappointed when I looked at BCM, because of the
lack of integration with my Palm sync tools (and Plaxo) and the main
parts of Outlook, notably Contacts.

YMMV as they say.

Try it. It's free.
