In Outlook, when I put a picture (jpeg) in the body of the message, the
picture is huge and I have to use the scroll bars to reduce it to a more
reasonable size. Is there a way to have the picture appearin a smaller size
automatically?

Charlie,

As far as I recall, Outlook will put the picture in based on the actual size
of the picture. As you mentioned you can resize it once its into he body of
the e-mail but if you need it smaller automatically then you will need to
have the picture a more manageable size BEFORE inserting it into the
e-mail.

Hi David
Thanks for responding so quickly! Got any ideas on how to reduce the size of
the pictures before I insert them in the body of Outlook? What I do now is go
to Insert- Pictures. browse to the Kodak program where my pictures are
located, highlight the picture I want, click Open and the picture appears in
the body of Outlook. I can't find anywhere in between where I have the option
to reduce the size of the picture before inserting it in Outlook. I'm stumped!

Any software such as PaintShop Pro, AcdSEE software like that has options
for Image Resizing. I thought Paintbrush that comes with Windows might be
able to do it but it doesn't. If you are downloading the pictures from a
Digital Camera, that would usually come with a CD containing Image Editing
software.
