Pivot tables

Hi

Hi just moved to XP and have noticed big changes in Pivot
tables.

My big problem is when I create a pivot table I may want
to add my own formulas next to the table using cells
within the pivot eg = F3+G3

However when I do this excel returns this big
formula "=GETPIVOTDATA........."

This formula is not so easy to copy down. Any way I can
eliminate this and just keep my simple formula?

you can either edit the GETPIVOTDATA formulae to match row and colum
titles elsewhere or, more simply, try this:

create your formula outside the pivot table using blank cells. Then g
into the cell to edit it and drag the cell references into the pivo
table. that way they will retain their A1, E15 etc references withou
the Getpivotdat
