Pink Screen

Monitor display has gone pink and the only colours I can now get are bright turquoise, orange, black and brown.
Have tried adjusting XP display settings, monitor settings and removing/replacing cable, none of which has worked.
Problem used to temporarily disappear with reboot, but now seems to be permanent - not sure whether this is a monitor, cable or graphics card issue - any ideas please?

Sounds like failure of the color guns inside the monitor. If you can, try
borrowing a monitor form a friend just to check, but I think a belated note
to Santa is probably in order.
