Pink Cast To Monitor

My monitor has recently developed a pink cast to it. I believe it's due to
the monitor (1 yr old) and not the Crucial (ATI 9100 - 6 mos. old) video
card. However, I do no not have a substitute monitor to trouble shoot with.
The speakers have been moved away from the monitor and it has been
degaussed. Anyone been "here" before and if so - what is the fix?

Confirm that the monitor cabling is firmly seated - at both ends.

Check the setting of the monitor's 'color' controls - R G B. There may be
a default or reset function.

You've not tried the obvious test, have you?! Suggest you hook it up to
another system with a known working card and see if it looks pink there. If
it does, then it's the monitor. If it doesn't then you can safely assume
it's the graphics card.

Follow-up: I was able to obtain a replacement monitor and the "pink" is
gone. So much for a one year old monitor - the monitor now being used was
built in 1999. Thanks for the suggestions.
