Dr Teeth

I have discovered that I cannot ping from my main PC (XP), but I can
with the others on my network (Vista and XP).

Pinging with both the URL and IP address fails with a destination
unreachable message (for www.bbc.co.uk for e.g.). Tracert also fails,
but it worked last night.

My HOSTS file is empty.

Any ideas what is going on?

Hi,

Your firewall off? Windows Defender installed? (If so turn off real time
protection).
Some ISP's limit Pings and tracerts but why only your PC? Indeed.....??
Norton /McAfee/ other antinaughtywares turned off?

I was just thinking how wonderful life was, when "CreateWindow"
Windows Defender installed? (If so turn off real time

Thank you, thank you, thank you. It was driving me nuts.
