Between WinXP and WinNT, why is it that I can use WinXP pc to ping WinNT pc with a reply but no reply from WinNT pc to WinXp pc? Pls reply.

You probably have the connection firewalled. Disable it

under the advanced tab of your connection and it should
work.
 
Turn off the XP firewall.
