ok, think I've tracked down his email anyway. I'm new to
this thing and only responded on advice from someone else -
I'm no punk by the way - you're american it seems -
however, I was a fine and dandy english goth in the long
and distant past...!

then in this case, mind your p's and q's
posting your problem every hour is a no no here
every response that you get is entirely voluntary
You have no right to demand for tech support

it wasnt a demand, I was actually trying to do it as
polite as possible to be honest. You told me to 'ping him'
so that is what I did. I have no idea what the etiquette
here is and someone advised me to contact him anyway. But
I really do think that's quite enough said about the
subject don't you?

D@annyBoy

no offence meant but there are too many off topic being posted in the
newsgroup

Personally I use Ccleaner, adaware, spy blaster, spybot, hijackthis and if I
do have problems with these applications, I go to relevant forums and
request assistance and would not post them here. What's the point of
posting updates to these applications here, like many do? If you rely on
postings relating to software that I pointed, then good luck to you. Where
will you get info when this newsgroups is closed? I would rather use the
Security newsgroup located at MS's public server. Hijackthis is simply a
tool to obtain the info from a system and then get help from an expert to
assist analyze the log. Posting your log here means everyone can see what's
on your computer. Why don't you allow me to have remote access to your
cocmputer?

MSAS cannot replace everything that I am using. It is meant to be another
line of defence. It is meant to detect and prevent spyware from being
installed in your computer. I find it amusing that many users think that
MSAS is a all round security appllication, eg firewall, antivirus, spyware
detector, cookies manager, temp file cleaner and blah blah blah

oops I forget
there's another application that I use
System Security Suite v1.04 and System Mechanic (not free) to clean and
protect my sytem
