Ping problem, large range.

I just reforamted my system and updated everything and now im getting a
horrible ping response.

If tried to ping google and i was getting a reponse of 110 to 640... This is
very uncommon for my ISP and i have already contacted them.
Everything is as up todate as possible.

I have a Supermicro P4DC6+ which has an onboard nic, Intel Pro/100+ Server
Adapter (PILA8470B)
Any one know what might be going on here?

bad driver for the onboard network interface card?
