Pictures

I am putting several pictures on my site. For some reason they aren't
showing up in my images folder (I am assuming that's why they don't show on
the web?)

And also they are HUGE. It says that it will take 132 secs to load even
though they are quite small.

How do people get big pictures on their sites and have it not take long to
load?

I am pretty new to this, so please bear with me!!

Kara,
How do you mean the pictures are quite small? Keep in mind, you can still
have massive pictures that are dimmensionally small width and height-wise,
but have more dots per inch than normal (thus really boosting the size).
Also, it could be you are using an image type that is not widely accepted on
the web. Typically JPG and GIF are the limits, though PNG can work in many
browsers as well though a lot of people avoid it.

Can you let us know what the image type you are using and an example of the
dimensions and filesize?
