Pages loading slow

I'm working on a site for a friend with graphics in it. They are JPEG images
with thumnails. The pictures are about 500 x 500 pixels (color) and the
thumbnails are 100 x 100 pixels. I also have navigation on the side for about
13 pages. In the program notes, it shows all pages loading at over 60 and
some to 70 sec. What can I do to make the pages load faster. There are
between 10 - 20 pictures with thumbnails on each page. Do the pictures (main
one) have to load also when only the thumbnails are showing?

Have you carefully optimixed those images in your image editing program?
Show us a page so we can see the file size for the images.

The big images that the thumbs link to are too big, but that won't affect
the index page load time. Also, using the space bar as a layout tool.

| The page is 105 kb ... not too bad.
