The pictures in my gallery are huge?

Susan

Hi. I was wondering if someone could take a look at my web site
(http://www.urbannafire.com/photo.htm) and click on one of the pictures to
see if they can help me.

When a picture opens in the new window, it is absolutely huge (2000 X 1000),
even though on my computer, the size is 640 X 480. When I preview the
pictures in Frontpage (when I click on File-->Preview in Browser) they come
up the correct size. I have tried to edit the size in the gallery properties
also, and that's not working.

Would anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Susan

Edit / resize them in a graphics editor such as the free Irfanview before
importing into your web.

Thanks guys.

However, I edited them on my computer already before putting them in the
photo gallery. On my computer, they are 640x480. Why are they still showing
up so big?

I noticed that the pic only loads big at the beginning.

Once you let the page completely finish loading, it displays at it's normal
size.

Any ideas?

Upload the images you resized, those on the server are the full size images.
(the firestation is 3264x2448px)
Internet Explorer and FireFox 3 will rescale (smaller, not larger) any image
so that it will fit in the browser window.

I've gone through and completely deleted the photo gallery, and added another
with the resized images. They are still coming up large, then shrinking after
hte page loads. Has the server just not updated or something?

I'm still working on this. If anyone might have any ideas I would be truly
grateful.

Thanks for any help anyone can offer. I am desperate.
