This generally means that the OLK? folder has too much garbage in it from
email orphans. The Outlook temporary OLK folder is special and therefore
hard to find. The only way to find it that I have found is the connect to the
\\computername\c$ share from the local workstation and then drill into the
location of the temporary internet files. The OLK? folder should be filled
with loads of orphaned files from emails that were closed out incorrectly.
Deleting these temp files should eliminate the Red-X's for JPEGS.

There are plenty of ways besides that.
