Pictures not displayed

When I open up my internet browser each website has a red
x where a picture should be....Any suggestions?
 
Go into control panel , double click on internet options ,
Click on the Advanced tab . Scroll down to the section
which says multimedia, in that check on the box which says
show pictures . Click on APPLY and then click on OK.
