pictures aren't displayed

I have a computer that sometimes does not render pictures. For example, if
I go into Yahoo games, the pictures are not displayed when I start a game
like Dynomite. Is there a setting I need to change in Internet Explorer to
allow the pictures? Sometimes I get a message about an applet.

Aha this is what I was looking for. It may be that the image name has a space(s) in it OR the image is located in a folder which has a space(s) in it. Check the properties of the image by right-clicking where it should be (usually a broken icon image) and choose Properties. Look at the URL for the image. Copy that entirely. Then in a new browser window put that in the address bar and hit <ENTER>. If there are no spaces in either the path to the image or the image name itself then likely your AV software is stopping the image from appearing. Or the address has been put into the hosts file without your knowledge.

If the images are loaded by an Applet then you have an issue that unless the articles you were provided don't do the job there is nothing much you can do other than check that AV software.
