pictures and video not loading...virus??

i cant get pictures or video to load on internet says i need flash player and
windows media player which i have..think i have some type of virus....tried
to load a video and computer shut down...have had problem every
since...Anyone have a clue??

Have you tried anti-virus? Or an Anti-Spyware/Malware program? It's possible
it could be a Virus/Spyware/Paracite. Make sure that all your Windows Media
applications are updated, and check you have the most recent version of
Shockwave.

Also check your IE, or whatever browser you use, is updated as well.
