Picture with table with columns

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have a jpeg picture with a width of 337
pixels. I we page formatted with a table set at 750 pixels with two columns.
I inserted the picture in the first column, and moved the second column to
obtain the most space - ie ended being set a width of 378. The second column
contains text. It looked fine when I type it or view it in design. The text
is close to the edge of the picture. However, when I view it in preview or
browser there is a large gap to the right of the picture, and the text, in
the second column, is moved as a result.

Hi Scott,

You might have better results if you set your table and cell properties by
manually doing it via right clicking within them..and changing their
dimensions there. Whenever you click and drag a table or cell border..you
probably will get dimensions you are not expecting. Try this:

Create a two columned table set to 750 pixels. Right click in the left cell
and set its properties to 337 pixels..then right click in the right cell and
set the properties to 413 pixels. Then insert your image in the left
cell..and type your text in the right cell.

Also cell padding and cell spacing can move contents around a little within
the cells..so watch for that as well.

Try centre aligning your picture and text... right click on picture
properties centre... will at least look deliberate regardless of the
properties of the desktop when viewed on line
