picture thumbnails

When I highlight a jpg file the thumbnail comes up as a
negative. It was fine until a week ago.

the file name when looking at a folder. I am not in a
editing program.

Is this happening with all your image files? Have you
tried running Disk Cleanup (all options)? Running Defrag
might be a good idea also.
