Picture Saves as BMP

I know somewhere on this newsgroup is a message
explaining how to fix my problem but don't know where. I
had this problem once before. When I try to save
pictures now it reverts to BMP format instead of what was
posted on website ie jpg. How can I fix this?

The usual fix is to clear your cache.
IE-Tools-Internet Options-Delete Files (in the TIF section)

That seems to work about 98% of the time but if it doesn't, close IE
and reopen and do it again. Also it has been reported that clear
cookies helps, but ensure you save any that you need.
