Can only save pictures as a .bmp

I am running IE6 on an XP pro PC. When I try to save any
picture, jpg or gif, it will only let me save it as a
bmp. When I click on the drop down arrow, bmp is my only
choice. It also comes up where the default name is
untitled. I do this all the time on other PCs and have no
problems.

Try to clear the Temporary Internet Files folder. In addition this MS KB
