Picture Not Appearing in Web Page

News Reader

I'm using Word 2000 on Windows 98SE. I've created a document,
inserted a picture (JPG), and saved it as a Web Page. The Pictures
Placeholders option is not checked.

Upon doing this, three files are created: (1) name.htm, (2)
name_filelist.xml, and (3) name_image001.jpg .

I transferred all three files and when I select the name.htm file,
everything appears as expected. If I only transfer the name.htm file,
the picture does not appear. Is there any way to get Word to save all
of this (text and pictures) into only one file?

Many thanks for any help.

Only if you upgrade to at least Word 2002 which includes the option to
save it as a Web Archive. For all other versions that support HTML the
images will be extracted as separate files.
