The answer to your second question is no.
However, John Inzer follows the picture it web site and will get you out of
a jam.
I know what you mean. You can find all kinds of tutorials and books for
something like Photoshop Elements etc. but not for Picture It (or Microsoft
Digital Image Pro). I would suggest you start with the tutorials included
with Digital Image Pro. Pretty good for the basics but really nothing after
this.
A shame, really, because Digital Image Pro has excellent tools but there is
no support from Microsoft like there is from Adobe for Photoshop Elements.
The Microsoft.public.pictureit is clearly not a "tutorial or ideas about"
site and I don't know how John Inzer can maintain his sanity answering
questions about so many versions of picture it. I look at it sometimes and
it drives me crazy.
