Picture It 7.0 crashes when opening photographs

I recently re-installed XP Pro on my computer after Dell replaced my mother board. Si=
nce then I have been unable to use MS Picture It Photo Premium 7.0. It worked fine befor=
e.

When I try to import a picture from my files, it wants to shut down. This doesn=E2=80=99=
t happen when I open something from the program's clip art files. Here are the details=
that it gives me:

Error signature
AppName: pip.exe AppVer: 7.0.709.0 ModName: piorg7.dll
ModVer: 7.0.709.0 Offset: 0002bbb5

The Error Report contains the following information:

Exception Information
Code: 0xc0000005 Flags: 0x00000000
Record: 0x0000000000000000 Address: 0x000000006797bbb5

Any ideas? This software works fine for me, and I don=E2=80=99t want to have to buy som=
ething new if I don=E2=80=99t have to. I=E2=80=99ve tried re-installing it several=
times, but no luck.

I suspect you may be running IE7...it may be
worth a try to uninstall it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had several other things that were also acting
strange. What I ended up doing was to uninstall and reinstall Service Pack
2. That solved all my problems. Everything's working fine now. Thanks
again for your idea. It set me on the right track.
