Picture and Fax viewer

Hopefully this should be easy for someone out there!

I used to be able to double click a .jpg or .bmp file and it would open in
Microsoft's Picture and Fax Viewer but since loading another graphics
program, every time I open a .jpg or .bmp file, it's now opened by the new
software.

Does anyone know how I can switch it back to Picture and Fax viewer as I
can't seem to find it anywhere on my system.

Right click on a .jpg or .bmp file, and choose Open With
In the dialog find Windows Picture and Fax and check the
always open with this program box then click ok

Try going into the tools or proprieties section of the
new program you installed and look for file associations
or something similar and uncheck jpeg. and bmp. It might
also have a check box that says make this the default
viewer be sure that is also unchecked.

Or, you can open up any windows explorer window, My
Copmputer, for example, and select Tools => Folder
Options. There's a tab on that called File types - this
is where you can manually set the action/program you want.

Start>run>type "regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll

HI...its not difficult to do at all, and still realtively
fresh on my mind, as I had to rectify the same situation
on my own pc.
Open any windows explorer folder,..like control panel will
work. At the top of the folder, where files, etc is
located, is the tools tab. Open tools, then folder
options, then half way down the next box that opens, is
file associtations. That is where you change the
associatied file, "jpeg," or any other files may have
gotten accidentaly changed from what you prefer to use.
