pics/graphics not loading in email/some web pages

Recently my computer quit loading pictures sent to me in some emails, and
some graphics in web pages. I've gotten some emails that contain .jpg
images, but they aren't displayed in the email. The only thing I get is an
outline of the photo with a small red X in the upper left hand corner. This
also happens when I visit some web pages, such as Yahoo! sports pages. What
could be the problem, and how do I fix it? I am using Windows XP Home
version. Can someone please help? You can also directly email me at
