Pick up your handset and dial

I'm running Win2000 and each time I try to dial into the
Internet I get a pop up message asking me to 'Pick up your
handset and dial'
And won't go any further

Any ideas?

sounds like some spyware has got on your system, try getting a copy of
adaware or spybot and running it on your system.
