php and frontpage 2002

Hello, what is the best way to get php to work when I publish our web site.
Someone else developed a new web site for our small non profit, they used
php code, and I do not how to get it to work.
I am using frontpage 2002

publish it up to the server and see how it works. unless you're running the
local web on a server you won't "see" any of the actions the php is trying
to do.
