When I set up a field in a table as an OLE object so that I can have pictures
of employees on a form, I get this error:

"A problem occurred while Microsoft Office Access was communicating with the
OLE server or ActiveX Control. Close the OLE server and restart it outside
of Microsoft Office Access. Then try the original operation again in
Microsoft Office Access."

This is Access 2003. The photos are stored in the same folder as the databse.

Thanks,

For some reason the OLE server has been removed from Access 2003. You need to
get an Office XP CD or other version of office an install just the Microsoft
Photo Editor from the office tools section.

I had this same problem, only I am using Access 2000. The problem
disappeared when I installed the updates from Microsofts website. This
solved a lot of othe quirky problems too. Hope this helps.
