Trying to edit data from a Long Binary Data object

I'm trying to edit data from a Long Binary Data object in an table field.
Then I have this messange:

"A problem occurred while Microsoft Office Access was communicating with the
OLE server or ActiveX Control.
Close the OLE server and restart it ouside of Microsoft Office Access. Then
try the original operation again in Microsoft Office Access."

What does it mean? What I have to do to open this Long Binary Data Object
from my table?

What is the data? Is it a copy of an Image file, Spreadsheet or WOrd doc?
