Photos within a email flyer

I receive many email flyers that have photos and images in them but have no
attachment gif or jpeg images showing as attachment, the email just opens as
one image on the page. I have designed a flyer in a word doc with photos but
when I insert it to my email page and send the receiver gets the photos
showing as attachments.
My question is how do I send my flyer email so the receiver does not get the
photos as attachments but only see them on the email page as one image?
Is it that when the email opens it reads it from the FTP web server as a
html page and if so how do I do this? In other words if I want the email to
read a page from my web server how do I acheive this?
Any pointer to how I can do this would be appreciated as I have been
searching the web and can't find anything that give help to this subject,
other than when I receive a flyer with no attached gif jpg I see a header
that reads Part(s):

You would have to send your page in html format. Images could be linked to a
webserver (http links, not ftp) but bear in mind that most people will block
such downloaded images as they are often used by spammers to validate the
recipients address and the fact the email has been opened. Far better to
include them with the email, but bear in mind many will only read emails in
plain text as it is more secure.

You could try our email scheduler (http://www.repeatmail.com) which will
allow you to send multiple individual emails, html or plain text, with
attachments, either as a one-off or regularly at a specified time and
interval. The recipients list can be drawn from your Outlook Contacts, a
plain text file,database or spreadsheet. It also allows you to specify the
interval between each send so as to avoid triggering any spam limits on your
account
