Photos embedded in body of text?

Hi,
When I send emails with a photo attached, it puts a placeholder in the body
of my text, but the photo is received as an attachment so it has to be
physically opened up to be seen. Is there a way of sending the photo so
that it's embedded into the body of the text so it shows up when the person
opens it?
Thanks,
Pete

I was, in fact, using rich text, so I changed it to HTML but it still didn't
put it in the body of the text. I sent it to my alternate email address and
it was recieved as an attachment. :(

What version of Outlook are you using? Are all the available Service Packs
applied?

You might want to try installing Office 2003 SP2 and see if it makes a
difference.

Hi, that didn't work either. (Although, it filters out a lot more junk mail
now!) When I attach a photo, it puts it in the email as an attachment, but
it can't be seen as a photo in the body of the text. Can this be related
somehow to a security issue, where Outlook has to be set to allow jpegs to
be in the body of text? Dunno. Thanks again, Pete

To embed pictures in the body of an HTML mail message:

- create HTML message
- set cursor where you want picture to appear
- go to menu Insert/Picture
- click om Browse button and select picture from your disk
- click OK
