photos copied to disk, lost

Hi all
Have previously copied many photos to disk successfully and have viewed them
many time after.
I later on used the close disk feature on the burner for one of the disks.
All of a sudden upon inserting the same disk, nothing shows up and am asked
to insert the disk.
I suspect the "close disk" feature was the culprit.
Appreciate any help on possibly restoring these photos.
Many thanks.

not sure what close disk
might mean. but it sounds
like the disk may have been
burned and closed off from
further storing of files. It;s
likely that the cd was burned
with nothing transferred onto it.

I have done this many times,
and use those cd's as ornaments
for the xmas tree. They also do
nicely as prisms.

you might want to see if
the option "not to burn upon
cd ejection" is avail on your
system somewhere....

There is a difference with cd-r and
cd-rw's. You might want to
look a bit further into these
devices via your computer
store or online, like newegg.com
Actually, i better investment these
days might be a dvd/cd-rw with lightscribing.
