Photo Story 3 to DVD with quality

What is the process to get a saved .wmv photo story file to DVD?
For my first try I saved the Photo Story 3 to the NTSC-type .wmv, then
burned to DVD via the Nero 6 software I got with my new Memorex 16x DVD
burner. It worked OK, but the quality is not what I hoped for (not nearly as
good as I see on my 19" PC monitor viewing a 640x480 .wmv with Windows Media
Player 10). What other options or combinations thereof may give me better
qualtity??
- Save as 1024x768 .wmv first before burning with Nero?
- Load into MovieMaker 2 and save as AVI or MPEG before burning with Nero?
- Any "tweaks" to settings?
Photo Story 3 is a great upgrade over PS2 if I can only get the quality
better.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I gonna try the custom "PapaJohn - DVD profile(NTSC)" and will let you know
how that works.

much thanks to those who previously posted. That information has helped me too.

bwh, have you successfully been able to use that custom profile in PS3? It
will not show up in my list of profiles. Just wondering if you ran into any
issues.

thanks,
Dustin

The burned DVD using the PapaJohn NTSC custom profile is definitely better
than with the PS3 NTSC standard one. It will probably never be as crisp on
my 36" Sony as on my PC monitor, but I'm satisfied (for now) with my results.
Another issue for me may be that I'm using the custom-sizeable start/end
boxes for my photos within PS3 and I may be losing quality there when they're
blown up on my TV screen.

Dustin: I just did the usual right-click and "save target as" on the NTSC
link, saved it to my desktop (it saved as "PapaJohn-DVDProfile.prx") , and
copied it into this directory:
\Program Files\Photo Story 3 for Windows\Profiles\1033
It then came up in the drop-down box at the end of PS3 when I loaded it the
next time. Good luck.

Hmmm, interesting. I have put the PRX file under the 1033 folder, but nothing
shows up. I did deviate from the default install directory. Perhaps PS3 is
touchy about that? I will try reinstalling and accept the default location.

If it works, it's an easy fix!

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

are blurry but when I save them for the computer with high resolution 800x600

What do you want?
Save to DVD to play on your TV via a DVD player or save to display on your
computer?
