Photo Story 3 error Corrupted file

P

Peggy6

I've been using Photo Story 3 for many months successfully until now. I have
a project saved that I have been working on and it has taken me a lot of time
piecing together the photos, music, etc. Now when I try to open the file I
get this:
PhotoStory cannot open the selected project file because it is corrupted.

Is there any know way to resolve this so I can open the file? I am going to
hate having to go back and redo everything I have painstakingly put together.

Any help is very appreciated.

Thanks, am still hoping that someone will come up with a fix. But have
started a new project. I have become a bit disappointed with Photo Story.

Maybe you have reached the limits of
the program.

Photo Story 3 has a picture limit of 300
and this can be even less if you use lots
of motion and transitions.

Here's some info about the Photo Story
..wp3 project file.

With regards to Photostory3. I work for a school board in Ontario and have
been assisting primary and junior classes with creating digital storybooks in
Photostory3. The software is wonderful as young children can easily import
their pictures and narrate their story. I have experienced random corrupt
files messages across our district and have tried to repair the program with
no success. I have also tried removing the program and reinstalling with no
success. Yesterday I had a class of 28 students in the lab and at least 3 of
the machines gave the corrupt files message when the students tried to save
their work. Again I have uninstalled and reinstalled without success.
These project are not large in content-each project has 8 or less jpg files
and the music that is being added is created within Photostory not ripped
from a cd. I am hoping someone can help us as this software is favoured
amoung teachers in our district. If you can help please reply to
(e-mail address removed) Thanx, W.

Just as a experiment...try creating a simple
Story with just a few pictures and no Transitions,
Motion effects or music.

When i come to complete the slide show in photostory three the following error message appears: “There is not enough memory or disk space to complete this operation, or program files for photo story 3 for Windows
or Windows Media Player are missing or may be corrupted. Quit other programs, free additional space or your hard disk, and then try again. If the issue is not resolved, If the issue is not resolved, reinstall Photo Story 3 for Windows and Windows Media Player.” I tried reinstalling all the software aswell as checking i have enough memory on my computer, and it still wont work any idea why this might be, please reply asap.”
