I am trying to add music to my slideshow that I purhcased via Windows Media
Player. When I select the music I recieve an error message, "...cannot add
selected music to your story because file contains copyrighted content that
is protected from distribution." A similar message appears when I select
music from my library that I copied to my computer. How can I get around
this?

I've not come across this one before! It may be that it just doesn't like
the music format you are using. Why not download a free music editor such as
Audacity (find on Google) and change the music files to something
acceptable? This may do it.

Quilly,

Have a look at the new Anti-Spyware program CounterSpy
I recommend it, it worked for me at,

This is a touchy subject because this message is by design. The intention is
not really to get around it, but to protect *you* from unintentionally
infringing on copyright.

That said, if you "own" the mp3 and can burn to CD, try doing so. Then rip
the CD without copyright protection options. Be careful how you use your
resulting story, and certainly don't mass distribute it.

Alternatively, you can use the Custom Music creation feature of Photo Story
3 and not have the copyright concerns.
