Photo SlideShow with Ken Burns Effect to DVD (Yves?)

Hello Windows Photo Sages,

I have used Photostory 2 and am currently using a program called
Memories on TV. It is a great all in one (acquire, edit, burn to
CD/DVD) package that is easy to use with one exception: when rendered
in DVD format, the program indicates that the DVD was successful, but
it will not read in my Panasonic DVD player. I have had some
correspondence with the author but no luck. VCD works fine, just would
like higher quality for special projects.

Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong, or is there an easy to
use all in one package with Ken Burns effect that can output to
VCD/SVCD/DVD?

Thank you,

Do you know what DVD format your Panasonic DVD Player is compatible with?
If it only reads DVD-R or DVD-RW and you are creating DVDs with DVD+R or
DVD+RW, it won't work. These have to be matched.

Thank you guys for your replies. The player the Panasonic DVD-RV32 was
one that I picked because it supposedly plays DVD-R,DVD-RW,
DVD+R,DVD+RW, DVD+R DL, as well as VCD and SVCD.

When I play the DVD, the player says "Reading....." and never engages.

I have read the manual but supposedly the player should recognize
format on its own. I don't know if the problem lies in the software,
the DVD player, or I'm doing something dumb.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Can you list the settings you used on making the dvd, ie bitrate, cbr/vbr
etc. I don't know the programme you are using so amnot sure what options you
have to make. Also make and quality of disc can make a difference, what did
you use?

I have used MemoriesOnTV (MOT) and seem to recall that it can be configured
to use TMPGenc as the encoder. You can use some other authoring software to
author the DVD once you have got the MPEG2 file.
Try the freewares: DVDAuthourGUI and DVDStyler (locate them using google)
