I work for a Law Firm and our Attorneys need to print fax's often. They do
not want the print wizard to run everytime they try and print a fax int the
windows picture and fax viewer. Is there a way around this?

Hi, Michael;

I'm running XP and and the print button in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer
wasn't active when I tried to print a fax from it. I didn't get a preview
either, from either the MDI or TIF formats. All faxes print directly for me,
no wizard, using either the print button in Fax Console, or by right-clicking
the fax in Explorer and choosing "print." GIFs and JPEGs required the wizard
however. So I tried converting a JPEG to a TIF, using Paint. The resulting
TIF printed without need of the wizard.

You don't say how these faxes got onto the computers in the first place. If
you scan printed faxes, you might want to see if your scanner software will
output TIF files. If not, you could use Paint to convert them. Or, you could
replace your fax machines with fax-modems, if you don't have them already,
and use computers to receive faxes (and use Fax Console to keep them
organized--archive to a folder on your server if you want access to all faxes
from all computers).

Regards,
Ian.
