Photo paper for Canon i860

Can anyone recommend the best paper to use for printing photos on my new
Canon i860? I plan on using Canon ink but if anyone has any suggestions for
different ink/paper combo's I'd like to hear them.

TIA

Red River Paper http://www.redrivercatalog.com/ is by far one of the best.
Other good ones are Office Depot Premium Glossy and Ilford Gallerie. Stay
away from Kodak, Jet Print and Royal Brites. The first three are highly
water resistant. The last three have absolutely no water resistance
properties. The same goes for the printed image. Much, much better on the
first three. Don't be afraid to use refill inks. If you do much printing,
you can save a bundle. The vendor I use supplies Formulab inks. I'm not
going to post any data about Formulabs. Check out their web site and see for
yourself that they are a major force in the ink industry.
www.alotofthings.com is the vendor. Excellent (low) prices and top notch
customer service. Even if you choose not to refill, check out the web site.
Highly informative and quite interesting.

I concur with the Office Depot paper...it works better than I would have
expected from an office supply store.

Same here.

Again good info. But because I'm in Canada, I use AtlanticInkjet for ink
supplies in my Canon i850 printer.

If you chose to refill your ink tanks and use third party papers, you
can reduce photo costs to less than any photo lab. The results are
excellent, and you don't have to worry about that 16 year old kid
screwing up your prints.

AtlanticInkjet also sells Formulabs ink. alotofthings doesn't offer service
to Canada because of high shipping costs.

This is more true than you can imagine. I managed a store which had a one
hour photo lab and send out service. While results were generally good, I
got heartburn whenever I saw film from a graduation, wedding, overseas
vacation or some other once in a lifetime event. If the processor was going
to screw up (which it did with ease) or the overnight vendor was going to
lose the film., it was usually on one of those 35mm rolls. I never did see a
mess up on pictures of Aunt Edna drinking a beer.

I "just" purchased my i860 and would ASK if anyone uses the Fuji
Fujifilm Multijet Premium Satin paper (or other Fujifilm paper) as
it has a longevity rating that seems pretty high. Thanks.
