Photo Gallery Captions disappeared

Hi,

I am trying to create a photo gallery in FrontPage 2003. I have done this
hundreds of times before but when I tried today I could no longer add
captions or descriptions. I am using the Slide Show template, but the others
are doing the same thing. I can type in a caption but as soon as I click to
the next picture or click OK the box becomes empty and loses everything I
have typed. I tried a Detect and Repair and that fixed nothing. I tried
going back to FrontPage XP, which was what I had used always prior to trying
2003 today and that is also doing the same thing. Is anyone else having this
issue? I found a couple of things on the net but the only way to fix seemed
to be a reformat which I have no interest in doing right now. Any advice
would be greatly appreciated.

I'd really like to stick with FrontPage becasue it flows with the rest of my
site. If there is a fix for this that would be awesome. Thanks for your
help and anyone elses!

eleanor means a better album generator...like JAlbum...you can still use FP.

Is there a template that is similar to that of the slide show template
FrontPage has? Also how do you bring it into FrontPage once it is generated?
I browsed the site quickly but did not see anything in too much detail there.

With JAlbum you build the gallery outside of FP. Then import that whole
folrder into FP and link to the index page it made. So, yes, it resides
within FP.
It's free so you can really explore the possibilities.

The albums are very flexible. Choose one that is closest to what you want
then when you generate it into a folder outside of FP you can customize it
during generation and also tweak it after. When you're happy with it, you
Import the entire folder into FP then create a link back to your main pages.
Very easy.

But...optimize and resize your images before you generate the album..this
holds true for any images or album generators you may use.
