photo file extentions changed to jpg^^^file and won't open in Adob

My wife attempted to send an entire file. But all of the file extantions
have been changed to jpg^^^file. Any ideas as to what actually happened and
how can I get the photoso back?

Try saving the pictures from your email and renaming the pictures with a
..jpg or a .jpeg file extentsion.
