Photo File Display

None of the files that I've created in My Pictures have
captions. They've all suddenly disappeared. If I click on
the file, the caption appears, but under normal viewing
conditions I have to guess which file contains what
photos.

Can anyone help me out ?

Open the folder to see the thumbnails.
Click on the View icon on your top bar (last icon on the right).
Hold the Shift key down and click on Details
Click on the View icon on your top bar
Hold the Shift key down and click on Thumbnails

The captions will now appear under the thumbnails.
