Photo CD with music to play on DVD player

I'm running XP home, and use Movie maker to make a CD with
photos and music, but can't get it to play on a DVD
player. How does one make this work, and is there special
software I need to use. My DVD player is HiMat
compatible.Please give instructions. Thanks

You want to burn a VCD (Video CD) or maybe even an S(VCD) - that's a Super
Video CD!
Can you playback VCDs/S(VCD)s on your DVD player - not all DVD players can.

You may also want to look at PictureToTV http://www.picturetotv.com/ i've
used this successfully myself.
I'm currently playing with a freeware utility Slide Show Movie Maker from
http://www.joern-thiemann.de/ which seems to have some good creative
features.
